So much of our lives are lived in the digital realm connecting to each other through our devices. The exponential speed of technology, specifically AI, is just at the beginning of what we are going to experience. Artificial intelligence will effect every part of our lives moving forward. There are so many unknowns about where it will take us. It is an incredibly disruptive technology with a wild power. This series of artworks entitled ‘The 10,000 Doors’ is part of a larger ongoing body of work that I am working on using digital painting, AI, code & sound, exploring & expressing conceptual ideas of the human soul that lies behind the hardware. The strangeness of AI merged with my paintings act as an expression of the strangeness of the times we are all living through together. Weaving & knitting our new realities as we face many challenges through this time in our history.
